THIS WEEK'S SPOTLIGHT IS ON LA COSTA HEIGHTS!
La Costa Heights 5th-grade students hosted a Global Water Crisis Fundraiser for National Tolerance Day on Thursday, November 16th, each class worked together to collectively walk a mile carrying 5-gallon jerry cans full of water, each weighing 40 pounds. Not only did students build empathy, but they also built a better understanding and awareness of the global water crisis. The 5th graders created a fundraiser for the event with a goal to raise $12,000.00 that will go toward building a well in South Sudan through the non-profit LLC, Water for South Sudan.
